John holds a Bachelor's degree in instrumental music from the University of Delaware, obtained in the days when he aspired to teach High School band. While in college, he performed in concert and marching bands, in the orchestra and in choirs as well as in local bars and coffee houses, singing and accompanying himself on guitar. In addition to the list of instruments above, John also performs on string and electric bass, baritone horn and french horn. He has appeared both in many ensembles and solo across the East Coast and Europe. 

John's off stage life is as varied as his performance abilities. In addition to his musical engagements, John is currently the music teacher at Duzine Elementary School in New Paltz, NY. Prior to that, John was the Network Administrator for the Liberty Central School District, holding that position for six years. He has worked as a computer programmer for Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, as a systems administrator for the local hospital and for the Sullivan County Government Center as well as renovating historic homes and fathering his two closest and favorite fans. 

There is nobody he would rather perform with than his partner Angela Page.
